How it all began…

The Guild Salon was established in 2017. Conveniently located in the core of beautiful Downtown Duncan, The Guild is a salon featuring a full coffee bar with a curated selection of luxury hair products and beautiful things for you and your home. Proudly serving Drumroaster Coffee, our team is dedicated to giving you an unforgettable and unique experience.

Education within our salon is a huge part of The Guild as we strive to go above and beyond for our guests. We specialize in custom blondes, balayage, and hand-tied hair extensions. Ongoing education and customer service are our number one priorities.

At The Guild, we aim to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. That’s why we meticulously selected luxury and eco-friendly brands to offer our guests. Because of this, we are proud to be a Davines & Kevin Murphy Salon.

Founder, Senior Stylist
The Guild Salon was founded on the idea of simply creating a beautiful, welcoming, and safe space within the Cowichan Valley.
With 16 years of experience in the hairstyling industry, I truly couldn’t love this industry more. My true passion is empowering the people who sit in my chair and making them feel like the best versions of themselves.
Driven by a commitment to ongoing education, I specialize in hair extensions and colour. The personal connections made with my guests truly fuels my passion for hair.
At The Guild Salon, the heart of the business lies not only in the services offered but in the incredible team that supports me on my journey of salon ownership. I firmly believe that the success of the salon is a testament to the talent and dedication of our team, making it a truly special place for both clients and team members alike.

Intermediate Stylist
I’ve been doing hair professionally since 2018, but my passion for hairstyling started long before that. Growing up as a competitive dancer, I was always practicing hairstyles on myself and friends, that along with taking art classes my entire life definitely inspired my love for creativity and beauty.
I specialize in blondes, extensions, and bridal styling. I’m a people person through and through. Building connections with my clients and growing genuine friendships while creating their dream looks is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my partner. I also love art, crafts, cooking, yoga and taking peaceful walks. I can’t wait to meet you and make your hair goals a reality!

Intermediate Stylist
I joined the hair industry in 2019 to allow my love for science and art to come together. Being a hairstylist has become a huge part of my life, it's the perfect outlet for creation and connection. Being apart of a career where education is endless, my mind stays excited exploring upcoming trends within the social media world.
My biggest passion is creating future-proof colours that last, such as effortless lived-in blondes to brunettes. I grew up in Metchosin BC and will forever love living on the beautiful Vancouver Island. When i'm not at The Guild Salon, I spend time with my boyfriend and our two french bulldogs, as-well as prioritizing movement at the gym.

Junior Stylist
Hi there! I’m Hannah, and I’m so excited to be part of The Guild Salon team here in beautiful Duncan, BC. Growing up in the Cowichan Valley, I’ve always called Vancouver Island home, and I feel so lucky to build my career in this amazing community.
My passion for hair started young. As a kid, I was always experimenting—teaching myself to braid, cutting my own hair, and eventually trying out color. My love for creativity led me to pursue hairstyling in high school, where I joined the hairdressing program and graduated with my diploma and certification at the same time. I love creating natural, low-maintenance blondes and soft, seamless blends that enhance your natural beauty. Seeing my clients leave the chair feeling confident and radiant is the best part of what I do.
When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me spending time with my two dogs, Daisy May and Mojo, or getting creative with painting and other artistic hobbies. I can’t wait to welcome you to my chair and help you feel amazing with a style that suits you perfectly!
